BIKIN INGAT 2.0

Bikin Ingat is a SaaS-based PRM (Patient Relationship Management) platform for retail pharmacies that automates medication refill reminders via WhatsApp and Email. Bikin Ingat automatically detects refill risk and converts it into a "refill lead" that pharmacy staff can act on directly — without replacing existing POS/CMS systems, instead functioning as a plug-in alongside them.

The problem

73.1% of patients in Malaysia fail to pick up their medication refills on time, and that non-adherence drives roughly RM2 million in wasted medicine annually. Retail pharmacies feel this directly — patients they've already served simply don't come back, and staff have no systematic way to catch it before it happens. The pharmacies we interviewed either rely on time-intensive manual phone checks or leave reordering entirely up to the patient's memory, and neither approach scales without adding headcount.

How it solves it

Bikin Ingat is an AI-powered Patient Relationship Management (PRM) platform that automates refill reminders via WhatsApp and Email, and surfaces at-risk patients to pharmacy staff as ready-to-act "refill leads" — without adding a single person to the payroll, and without replacing the systems a pharmacy already runs.

How it works

Pharmacies onboard patients two ways. New patients scan a QR code at the counter, giving PDPA-compliant consent as part of registration — they're opted in from the start. Existing patients come in through bulk CSV import, gated behind a recorded DPA reference before any data is persisted; each imported patient automatically receives a consent request rather than being opted in outright. If the patient confirms, automated reminders begin from that point on; if they don't respond, the patient stays pending and staff can follow up manually. From there, the system monitors each opted-in patient's medication cycle, flags a missed dose, and routes it to the staff inbox for final review before it becomes a confirmed refill lead ready for pickup. Reminders go out over WhatsApp and Email. Firebase/Firestore persists patient records, consent status, import batches, and lead history in a multi-tenant structure, so each pharmacy sees only its own data.

Core features (current MVP)

CSV import brings a pharmacy's existing patient base in bulk, automatically triggering a consent request to each patient. QR registration handles new patients with PDPA consent built into the flow itself. Missed-dose detection runs automatically in the background for every consented patient, surfacing flagged patients directly in a staff inbox for confirmation rather than requiring staff to go looking. Reminders are delivered over WhatsApp and Email. An AI Analytics & Reports layer, powered by Gemini, generates a plain-language executive summary on top of the underlying metrics each period — the narrative is AI-authored, but every number behind it is computed directly from Firestore data, so it stays independently verifiable. And because Bikin Ingat plugs in beside a pharmacy's existing POS/CMS rather than replacing it, adoption doesn't require staff to abandon the tools they already know — unlike full-replacement systems such as Clinex or EazyClinic.

Roadmap (future, not yet built)

A set of AI capabilities are scoped for after this funding round rather than shipped today: automated prescription parsing via OCR, voice-call (IVR) reminders, patient reply intent classification, natural-language dashboard querying, and fraud/spam filtering on inbound patient replies. Refill-cycle data collected during the current MVP phase is also intended to feed a predictive demand-forecasting layer down the line. None of this is live — it's the direction the refill-cycle and interaction data already being collected can go once there's a funded base to build on.

Why it works

Pharmacies already know which patients are falling through the cracks — the problem isn't awareness, it's that catching them manually doesn't scale, and starting from zero patients makes that gap even harder to close on day one. CSV import solves the cold-start problem: a pharmacy's existing patient list becomes usable data from week one, but consent stays with the patient — the system asks, it doesn't assume. For patients who don't respond, the fallback isn't silence, it's the same manual follow-up staff already do, just narrowed down to the people who actually need it. That's also why the product sits beside a pharmacy's existing system rather than replacing it: the biggest adoption risk isn't the technology, it's the fear of more unpaid labor bolted onto an already busy counter. By keeping the human decision — consent, and the pharmacist's professional judgment on the final refill lead — in the loop while automating the tracking and reporting, Bikin Ingat turns a leaky, manual process into a consistent one, without changing who's actually responsible for patient care.
